In order to respond to the Belt and Road initiative of our country and speed up the internationalization process of the college, at the invitation of Murmansk Arctic State University, Mr. Li Yaohua, President of Weihai Vocational College, led a group and paid a visit to the University’s Kirovsk campus. An agreement on Cooperation in Running Schools was signed by the two parties, which symbolizes new progress in promoting Chinese-Foreign Cooperation in Running Schools on our part. Mr. Ma Yongtao, member of the Party Committee, Ms. Chang Hong, Dean of Tourism School and teachers from International School of the College accompanied the visit. 

       During the session, the delegation paid a friendly visit to Kirovsk Branch of Murmansk Arctic State University and were warmly welcomed by President Anna Razumovskaia, the faculty and students. During the talk, Ms. Razumovskaia gave a detailed introduction to the history and development, disciplines and campus culture of the University.

Mr. Li Yaohua had an in-depth discussion with the counterpart on programs of cooperation in Running Schools for Hotel Management and Tourism Majors, exchanging teachers, linkage and sharing of teaching resources, logistic service of foreign students. A cooperation intention was reached by the two parties under which students of relevant programs could do exchange study on the basis of tuition and accommodation fee exemption, and mutual recognition of courses and credits. After the talk, both parties signed The Agreement on Joint School Running between Weihai Vocational College and Murmansk Arctic State University.

After the meeting, the delegation were shown around the teaching bases, Buildings by enterprise investment, and Practice and Production Bases of Hotel Management Major and Tourism Major of Kirovsk Branch of MASU. Weihai Vocational College is going to select excellent students from its Tourism School for further study on Western Cuisine here in April 2020. On the other hand, the Tourism and Business Development Center of Kirovsk City is scheduled to send 10 members to learn Chinese Cuisine at Weihai Vocational College in June 2020.

The visit is of substantial significance to Weihai city’s  internationalization drive, expanding the international communication and cooperation and enhancing the global impact of the college.
