On 28th December, Department of Education of Shandong Province announced the approval result of Sino-foreign Cooperative Education programs at 3-year college level for the 2nd half of 2020. The two programs applied by our college-Software Technology Junior College Education Program between Weihai Vocational College and Polzunov Altai State Technical University in Russia, and Advertising Design and Production Junior College Education Program between Weihai Vocational College and Suwon University of Korea, successfully obtained the approval of Department of Education of Shandong Province and reported to the Ministry of National Education for the record, which symbolized a giant leap on the way to international school-running in our college.

The two approved programs would be included in National Enrollment Plan for General Higher Education and enroll students across the country in 2021. The programs, both are three year in duration, would be jointly accomplished by Weihai Vocational College and foreign cooperative colleges or universities according to the talent development programs. Foreign teachers would undertake one-third of core professional courses. Academic certificates recognized by the Ministry of National Education would be issued to graduates.

The successful approval of the programs is a big breakthrough and symbolic result in the college’s effort in continuing to push forward the strategy of running international schools. The internationalization in talent cultivation, teaching research, construction of teams of teaching staff and social services would be pushed forward through introducing advanced foreign educational concepts and high-quality educational resources, enriching the connotation of school-running, improving the school-running mechanism and taking the cultivation of high-quality international inter-disciplinary talents as the guide.
