On Mar.22, Mr. Ammar Muhammad, Secretary of the Committee of International Students in China of BGTEA, and Mr. Iza khan Khattak, Special Consultant of the Committee, paid a visit to Weihai Vocational College. Mr. Wu Yonggang, Party Secretary of the college and Mr. Sun Zhongfeng, Vice President of the college attended the meeting.
The delegation led by Mr. Ammar Muhammad were shown around the facilities including the Ship and Marine Engineering Training Base, Digital Business Operations Center, Sino-German Integration Base of Vocational Education and Production, Social Training Center and International Students Apartment. He spoke highly of the solid school-running strength and distinctive vocational education features of the college.
After the visit, the two parties had a discussion. Mr. Ammar Muhammad introduced BGTEA, and reviewed the experience when he led a delegation to participate in the First SCO Countries Vocational Skills Competition in 2019. He hoped to further the cooperation with our college in both Pakistani students studying in China and their participation in the Second SCO Countries Vocational Skills Competition.
Mr. Isa Khan Khattak introduced the economy, education and tourism of Pakistan by using slides. He said that Pakistan is in great demand for vocational talents and wished to establish a long-term docking communication mechanism between our two parties to push forward the training and development of vocational talents between China and Pakistan.
Mr. Wu Yonggang extended a warm welcome to the delegation. He said the Sino-Pakistan friendship is firm as rock and deep as sea. The China-Pakistan Economic Corridor is a flagship project of the BRI Initiative. He hoped that high-level and multi-field cooperation between the college and the Pakistan would be promoted under the framework and with the support of BGTEA and Mr. Ammar Muhammad and Mr. Isa Khan Khattak.
Meanwhile, he suggested that relying on Weihai Vocational College as a platform for exchange and cooperation, more young people from both countries would be attracted to make great contribution to cultural exchanges and friendly connection between the two countries.
In the afternoon, accompanied by Mr. Sun Zhongfeng, the delegation made a field trip to Wego Group and Dishang Group.
